The tea party protests have been widely successful, news organizations nationwide are running with it, ratings are surging, and news anchors cannot stop talking about. Hundreds of thousands of American’s participated in the protests across the country and government leaders have been chiming in. Conservatives are calling it a call to action to their fellow citizens to hold those in Washington responsible for wasteful spending and irresponsible legislation. Liberals have been discarding the protests as insignificant and its participants disenfranchised and out of touch Americans.

Some banks who accepted tarp money have started turning a profit already and are attempting to pay back their borrowed money. Questions are already being raised that the bank bailouts were not even necessary. The deficit soars and the federal government is talking more spending. Today the president called on building a network of high speed trains! I am sure that will be cheap…The only way for the spending to be reigned in and for taxes to be kept under control is for people to voice their opinion.
