President Obama not left, not right, just wrong.

It befuddles me that the current administration would even consider a program that would have private health care companies cover the costs to treat wounds received from battle for our fighting men and women. The only rationale I can think of for such a program would to cut costs to the federal government. If private insurance companies has to pick up the tab on these bills the Department of Veterans Affairs would not have to. In the current economical conditions and ballooning budgets, I am sure every cost savings ideas are being explored. Thankfully members of congress see what a disaster this program would be and are outright opposing it before it is every introduced. Insurance companies would pass on the costs for providing health care onto the veterans themselves. One must already question the effectiveness of VA hospitals with a slew of reports coming out in the last two years of unacceptable hospital conditions to include veterans suffering from bed sores and some rooms being occupied by bats. Regardless, the simple consideration of such an horrible plan could be an enigma in the agenda of the administration, or a little taste of what the next four, or eight years will be like. -10 points
