America’s slipping Christianity.

Our founding fathers birthed a nation with life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness at its foundation. They birthed a Christian nation, with all intensive purposes of it maintaining its Christian identity. The United States paved the way for equality, diversity, and tolerance with the world looking on in its wake. With its Christian foundation guiding it, the United States became the leader of the free world, the moral authority, and the most diverse country on the planet. With each progressive step, each advancement, the country slogged toward an identity crises.

Currently the country is at a crossroads with no intention of picking a path. The melting pot that is the United States has continued to stir over the decades as more cultures and immigrants pour into the American cauldron. More Europeans, Asians, and Mexicans enter this country every day, looking to prosper in the land of opportunity, to thrive and communicate, yet there is no official language. Here, in the land of the free, freedom of religion is become increasingly understood as freedom from religion. “In God we Trust” can be on our money but the ten commandments cannot be in our courts. We “Swear to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help us God” when testifying but prayer cannot be in our schools.

This country cannot decide if marriage is defined by a man or women or when an unborn child’s life begins. We cannot decide when a parent should be notified if the child seeks certain medical care. Core values no longer have a grip on the American people, public opinion is easily swayed by eloquently spoken words from a voice of honey. Trendy has replaced common sense, wisdom gives way to whatever is tolerant. Until America can get back to its core values that made this country the greatest place in the world, it will forever stay in this rut of intellectual stagnation. America can no longer straddle the fence of values that define this country, and define us as a people.
